my site is down... apparently there were payment problems that no one took the time to contact me about in advance, so now my 'account is suspended.' i can't even access my own ftp. anyway, time to seriously start looking for new hosting somewhere. anyone got tips?

build your own server and then just use your isp for connection. save paying for someone else to do it.

I use media temple. they have always answered questions and resolved problems in a timely fashion.

I'll suggest 1and1 hosting, they're pretty good, and fantastic deals, also. Well, my opinion 'course.

I've used both AwardSpace and 000webhost. Right now, I'm pretty happy with my website at the latter, which is free and no banners.

You can find it here: [link]

Wizzerdwerks is a good one, bit confusing to start with but after that its alright.

Theres also powweb, I haven't ever tried it but I have heard a lot of positive things.

I recommend Bluehost as well. They've (for the most part) worked out great. Only one day out of the last three years has there been a lapse in service and that was a backup generator re-enacting Chernobyl in the middle of summer a couple years ago.

it's easy to use and with he price comes two domains and lots of space.
Maybe you can share it with someone or something.

From what I've read, BlueHost and DreamHost are both supposed to be really good hosting services. And DreamHost claims to give people one 1 Terabyte of bandwidth. Both services also allow the hosting of Wordpress blogs. Happy host hunting!
