hey all. i just wanted to make a journal entry about some stuff i've noticed lately. first of all, occasionally i get notes asking me questions or requesting things that always begin with "sorry for bothering you! i know you must have a busy life! i'm really sorry for asking! you must get 600 notes a day!" etc etc. i appreciate that you guys are considerate, but i just want to point out that you don't have to say that. first of all, i don't get 600 notes a day. i get about 1 or 2, which i can definitely handle. second of all, if i didn't have time for deviantart i simply wouldn't log in - i'd just wait until i DO have time and then go through all my messages. you don't have to apologize for taking up my time, it's never really an issue for me. so, just to let you guys know that acting humble isn't necessary even though i know you mean well :b

basically, you can feel free to note me at any time about whatever you feel like. i like getting notes, they make me feel special hahah.

second of all, tutorials. i've been getting lots of requests for tutorials from people. to be honest, i don't really want to make any tutorials for this site. i don't like how tutorials are insanely favorited by everyone - usually more than most actual artwork - and how a lot of people just set out to copy the step-by-step process of other artists in an attempt to get better without actually thinking about the techniques shown. also i think a lot of artists are too quick to make tutorials that are completely pointless and obvious. in general tutorials have a bad reputation around here.

however, i very much approve of people asking for tips and information on the techniques i use. of course questions like "how do you do that??" are a bit vague, but questions about techniques i use or the process i go through when i draw are definitely welcome. i'm more than willing to go into my files and look for in-progress works to illustrate what i did or explain certain techniques at length if that is what you want. just feel free to ask!

basically, i'm not against exchanging information or tips relating to my artwork. i just don't like how tutorials are received on this site which is why i would like to refrain from making any right now. i hope you guys understand - you don't have to agree with me on that but just know that i'm open to any questions or opinions.

allright, that's it for now, thank for reading!

Could I, uh, still, note you about something? I just wanted to ask since this journal was posted kinda long ago, 😅😅
