back from the dead
hellooooo all. i realize i've been posting less and haven't been very active here... this is thanks to my backbreaking schoolwork, and perhaps also my work methods, which consist of the not-so-pleasant combination of procrastinating and overworking. basically, i've been struggling to finish my 2nd year final animation for the last month or so. i really had to get it done because not finishing it brought with it the risk of getting kicked out of school, which sucks. if i was a good planner i would have combined working on the animation with relaxing, enjoying the summer (which has been, up until now, lots of rain and clouds here in holland), making other artwork and, of course, browsing deviantart, but the sad truth is that i suck at planning and had no choice but to cram it all in. BOY am i glad that's over! i seriously look like i've been living in a cave for the last month. anyways, if you want to see it, it's posted here -

or the youtube version here

this is not really a finished version - it needs sound/music, and there are tons of mistakes in the coloring, plus the opening/end shot are missing or halfassed. but anyway i figured i should post it up, since it's all i've been doing lately. a more pimped and improved version is in the works, after i'm back from lowlands (a 3 day music festival for those who don't know).
if you can get the story then you'll be one of the first :b
i also have to add that my good friend (more specifically, boyfriend) *arjhun helped out so much by offering me his house, food, a working computer and his aid in coloring the animation. he´s the best. check out his gallery, he´s just starting to get into deviantart, go look at his work!
by the way, credit for this journal css goes to =33xiT... i edited the code from this deviation [link]

I love the way you illustrated the fish's movements- very bouncy. I also liked the old lady's hair (or lack thereof.) Made me laugh.
Good work!

but you totally told it to me back when you were planning it. so either I'm super amazing or I don't count. But I like to pretend that I am super awesome at life.
