result of me getting to draw whatever i want for the first time in four months? bright colors, striped scarves, floating shapes and other lois-art-clichés! an ode to oncoming fall and winter and all of the lovely drapey stuff we get to wear again.
drawn in photoshop cs5 with a cintiq 24HD, not sure how much time in total since i've had a rejected version of this drawing lying around on my HD for more than a year. for more info on my artwork please visit [link]
Oh wow, this is gorgeous. The colors glow and pop against a dark background, and the shapes and styles are very whimsical and lovely. Great, as always.
This is beautiful, I love your style! So colorful! I love how theres always seems to be some kind of story behind of the your characters. Keep up the great work!
Those floating shapes actually remind me of buildings, so it looks like the girl is floating upside down but she thinks it's the world that's upside down, which I'm really loving.
I really like how your art has gotten really sophisticated but still has the same elements that make it distinctly yours. A lot of the artists I was a fan when I was like, 11, I've grown disappointed in because they haven't really grown stylistically or noticeably gotten better or anything. Its been 10 years almost and every time I'm blown away by your work!
thanks so much! this is something i worry about a lot. many people feel my art has evolved in the wrong direction and that my old stuff is better. i'm always a bit confused as to what to do. thanks for the encouraging comment!
