Going back through my favs again and wanted to throw a quick comment on this one and then stop procrastinating so I can finish the last bit of my schoolwork and be done with it. Then I can start doing more modeling and fantasy stuff.
This is amzing stuff! I love the corset, the huge belt buckle, the green emerald. All of the costume elements just really work well together and your coloring is "off the hinges", as per your usual. I wish the eyes were green, but it's a pretty small want. Practice makes perfect! Don't bring down your recycled stuff!
i love it when i see a picture that reminds me of an idea i once had... she looks like a lachialon. the shortest kind of elves in kandronais, they live in unerground houses and have red hair... they only dress in green. the main difference (and the reason why i like this picture) is the dress. the lachialons dress pretty much like the amish... and are just as mutated. simple explanation, you probed my head... and drew a rogue lachialon girl!!!
just kidding. its truely origional. finaly a non tolkien elf somewhere!
I think its important to make meaningful comments, even for better artists. You guys get so many comments like "thatís awesome" or "Ooo pretty" " " that it probably gets old really fast. As an artist I feel that if there are flaws they should be pointed out and when you like something you should say why. And if you can do so in detail then you should.
I love the coloring on this one. Not necessarily the color scheme (though it is a very nice ant interesting one. Love the red hair. It works great with the rest of the colors) but how you colored it. The mixing in of different colors to create the shades and highlights, rather than using strictly shades of the base color. The detail is great too and what really draws me to this one is the facial treatment. The coloring/shading and facial treatment contrast with the presentation/design element in such a way that it just creates an, um, I don't know...something. Its just got a feel to it is amazing. I think this might be my fav of your Oekakis.
thanks so much!! not to sound conceited; but im glad you noticed the things on this oekaki because im really proud of it and i agree with you on your points. also thanks for all your other comments, they were so thought out and helpful.
This picture is gorgeous, really! XD
There aren't many pixelated oekakis that are really good, but this definately is. Colors, outlines, the way you painted her face, the hair, the pose; everything is just fine!
