i haven't been drawing AT ALL since i finished my graduation animation, so i just forced myself to draw today. devoid of inspiration, i decided to re-draw a picture i drew when i was 15 or so: [link]

however, i found it boring so i did what any reasonable person would do: i added an OCTOPUS. the result: the next installment in the girl + aquatic creature series. haha.

This is insane!!

I've been trying to master teh photoshop drawings. I sketch them then scan and finish them with photoshop. I learned new techniques but im not happy with them. This is how I want mine to start looking one day. Any tips?

i sometimes work with scanned pencil drawings too, what helps is to eventually merge all layers and sort of paint over the entire thing with lighter colors. it helps to bring the whole thing together and keep the layers from looking too separate from one another. if you want to preserve your layers you can also just start painting over the image with a new layer on the way top.
